ಹಂತ 1: ಮಳೆಗಾಲದ ಪೂರ್ವ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ (ಈಗಿನಿಂದ - ಮೇ ಆರಂಭದವರೆಗೆ)

ಮೊದಲ ಮಳೆ ಬೀಳುವ ಮೊದಲೇ ಬಯೋಚಾರ್ ಮಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿರಬೇಕು. ಆಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅದು ಮಳೆನೀರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ.

  • ಗಿಡದ ಬುಡ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛಗೊಳಿಸುವುದು: ಅಡಿಕೆ ಮರದ ಬುಡದಿಂದ 2 ಅಡಿ ಸುತ್ತಳತೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕಳೆ (weeds) ಮತ್ತು ಕಸವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯಿರಿ.

  • ಪ್ರಮಾಣ: ಪ್ರತಿ ಮರಕ್ಕೆ 2kg ಇಂದ 3kg ಪ್ರಥ್ವಿ ಕಾರ್ಬನ್ ಬಯೋಚಾರ್ ಹಾಕಿ.

  • ಹಾಕುವ ವಿಧಾನ: ಮರದ ಬುಡದಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 1.5 ಇಂದ 2 ಅಡಿ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ (ಬೇರುಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿರುವ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ) ವೃತ್ತಾಕಾರವಾಗಿ ಹರಡಿ.

  • ಮಣ್ಣಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆರೆಸುವುದು: ಲಘುವಾಗಿ ಮಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಕೆದರಿ 2-3 ಇಂಚು ಆಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಯೋಚಾರ್ ಬೆರೆಸಿ. ಇದು ಜೋರು ಮಳೆಗೆ ಬಯೋಚಾರ್ ಕೊಚ್ಚಿ ಹೋಗದಂತೆ ತಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ.

ಹಂತ 2: ಮೊದಲ ಮಳೆಯ ನಂತರದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆ (ಮೇ - ಜೂನ್)

ಮೊದಲ ಮಳೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಪ್ರಥ್ವಿ ಕಾರ್ಬನ್ ತನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸ ಶುರು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
